Gem State Info - PeeWee and PreTeen Teams

Gem State 2014- Pee-Wee/Pre-Teen Itinerary
*Fees: March class fees and Gem state fees must be paid by Wednesday to coaches
Pee-Wee Gem State Fee:             Pre-Teen Gem State Fee:  
*Parking:  park on SE corner of parking lot at Madison High School and all entering and exiting of building must be done through the auxiliary gym doors.  Absolutely no entrance in the main school
*Carpool/hotel: if you are not personally driving down your students and staying overnight with them, please make accommodations with another parent to do so
*Spectators: Buy at the door, $5 Friday, $5 Saturday, $20 1-day family pass (immediate family), kids 6 and under free, students competing will be paid for with gem state fee that was paid to Enlight.

Friday March 21: (Friday is all the team events)
·         All Pee-Wee and Pre-Teen students need to leave Logan no later than 7am and must arrive at Madison High School (2300 University Blvd, Rexburg, ID) at 10am sharp
·         Girls need to have their hair done before they arrive.  Both pee-wee and pre-teen girls should wear their hair slicked back in a high pony tail and curled into ringlets and be wearing blush and red lipstick.  They should come wearing tan dance tights and their black latin skirts and if they have a red team shirt they should wear that, if not just any regular shirt. Pre-Teen girls need to also have on their nude leos. 
·         Boys should have their hair gelled and looking neat.  They should be in either black slacks for pee-wee boys and latin pants for pre-teen boys and long black dress socks and if they have a red team shirt they should wear that, if not just any regular shirt. 
·         All students should have their dance shoes in a bag and any other performance supplies they need with easy access to get out as soon as they arrive at the high school. 
·         At 10am meet your coaches in the main gym and they will help you get into costumes and prep to compete.
·         The competition starts promptly at 11am.  Pee-Wee and Pre-Teens students will be done with their sessions around 2:00pm.  At that time the coaches will meet with the students and make sure all costumes are accounted for and then you can choose to stay and watch the junior and youth events or leave. 
Saturday March 22: (Saturday is all individual syllabus and open events)
·         All pee-wee and pre-teen students need to meet their coach in the main gym at the high school at 7:30am.  At this time, your coaches will get your ready for individual syllabus competition
·         Girls: must be wearing the following with no exceptions: plain white shirt (must have at least cap sleeves), black latin skirts with built in trunks or black turnks worn underneath, tan dance tights, dance shoes that you wear for team, hair should be done in a slicked pony tail, braid or bun.  Blush and red lipstick.   No jewelry or hair pieces. Pre-teens wear nude leotards under shirt
·         Boys: must be wearing black slacks or latin pants, black dress socks, black dance shoes or dress shoes, plain white long sleeve dress shirt with sleeve rolled down, plain black tie or bow tie.

·         All pre-teen and pee wee syllabus events are scheduled to be done by 11:15. When the events are done you may leave and head back to Logan or stay to watch junior and youth students.
