National USA Dance Championship April 12 & 13
The National USA Dance Championship will be April 12 & 13 at the USU Spectrum. This event will be for Cabaret and Team Latin Medley. There will also be syllabus competition and formation events for all ages and categories. More info coming soon-

Friday, March 22 - Leave Logan around 7:00 am & arrive in Rexburg at 10 am.
Floor practice time 10-12
Lunch
Competition starts at 1 pm and runs until 10 pm. (younger teams can leave when their events are over and return to the hotel if they would like)
Saturday, March 23 - Breakfast at the hotel (Hampton Inn, Idaho Falls)
PeeWee and PreTeen compete from 8 am - 12 pm. They can leave the competition at this time and head back to Logan. The older teams will compete until late in the evening and then return to Logan Saturday night/ early Sunday morning.
Competition fees have not been set, but will be around $20. This price includes competition and admission costs for both days. Please pay this amount with March tuition.

**Parent tip - if you are coming to the competition, try to get a schedule of events once you arrive and have your student mark the events they will be participating in. Then you will get a good idea of when you want to be in attendance. Seating is in a high school gym with standard bleachers. They can get uncomfortable as the day goes on.
The food at the competition is high school-basketball-game-concession-type fare. Think nachos and soda. There are grocery stores and fast food places in Rexburg for more variety in food choices.

Davis County Competition Details
Competition this Saturday February 23
· Instead of being in Davis County, this weekend’s ballroom competition has been moved to the Logan Rec Center. This is mandatory for all Enlight Students on all teams unless you have cleared it with your coach prior to this week.
· All Enlight students need to meet at the Logan Rec Center on Saturday morning at 8am.
· Must come with hair and make-up completely done and all costumes items ready. Please check below for a complete costume list of what is needed
· The team formation events begin at 9am and run until noon. Then there will be a lunch break. Then the individual events start at 1pm. We do not have an exact time of when the whole event will be over but generally pee-wee and pre-teen will dance the individual events first, then junior, then youth. You can leave the competition as soon as your individual events are over.
· All students need to bring $10 to the competition and that will pay for all team, individual and admission fees. General admission for public is $5 for the day or $20 for a family pass.
· Parents please help ensure that students are there on time and ready to go with all their supplies so we can make this a really successful competition. Please call your coach with any questions.
Bring the following supplies for upcoming competitions and shows
Pee-Wee and Pre-Teen Men: black dress shoes or dance shoes, black dress socks (not ankle socks), black dress pants or black latin pants, black belt, white long sleeve dress shirt, black tie (optional items for indivual events are black bow tie, black vest, black suspenders). hair gelled and looking neat.
Junior and Youth Men: latin and standard shoes, black dress socks (not ankle socks), black latin pants, white long sleeve dress shirt, black tie (optional items for indivual events are black bow tie, black vest, black suspenders). hair gelled and looking neat, clean shaven, open costumes if needed for open events.
Pee-Wee Ladies: black or tan dance dance shoes, white dressy socks, black latin skirt (black bikers under if skirt doesn't have them attached), white plain syllabus shirt (no lace or sequins, must have at least cap sleeves), hair done in high pony tail and curled, red lipstick and blush.
Pre-Teen Ladies: black or tan dance shoes, tan tights, nude leotard, black latin skirt (black bikers under if skirt doesn't have them attached), white plain syllabus shirt (no lace or sequins, must have at least cap sleeves), hair slicked and parted to left in a low bun covered with a hair net matching hair color (very secured bun), red lipstick and blush
Junior and Youth Ladies: latin and standard shoes, fishnets in good condition, nude leotards with bra cups inserted or nude bra under, black latin skirt (black bikers under if skirt doesn't have them attached), white plain syllabus shirt (no lace or sequins, must have at least cap sleeves), rhinestone dangly earrings, hair done slicked perfectly with no bobby pins and parted on left into a low bun with matching color to hair with hair net, elastics and bobby pins to secure bun, make-up done with base, bright blush, bright red lips and liner, eyes- brown on lid, pink of crease, white on brow and black eyeliner on top and bottom and black fake eyelashes.

Welcome to our parent-info blog
Some upcoming information regarding a performance on Tuesday, February 19th at the Kent Concert Hall on USU campus. This performance is for Pee-Wees, Pre-Teens, Yellow Jr., and Yellow Youth teams.
Please be at Kent Concert Hall at 6:30 pm. The original paper/instructions said 6:00. Please come with all costume, hair and makeup done.
